Oscar: In the Beginning, is the initial series of 48 cartoons from the genesis of the panel cartoon, “Oscar” created by cartoonist, Rex A. Jones. Oscar, is a charismatic big green parrot with a larger than life personality, a sharp tongue and a wicked attitude. He is joined by his mate Hortense, and his offspring, Nugget, as they outwit, bemuse, and bewilder their parronts, Rex and his wife Judy.

Oscar II: A Second Helping, picks up where, Oscar: In the Beginning left off. It is a series of 61 cartoons from the the panel cartoon, “Oscar” created by cartoonist, Rex A. Jones. Oscar, is a charismatic big green parrot with a larger than life personality, a sharp tongue and a wicked attitude. He is joined by his mate Hortense, and his offspring, Nugget, as they outwit, bemuse, and bewilder their parronts, Rex and his wife Judy.

Oscar III: Third Time’s a Charm, is the third book in a series of the panel cartoon, “Oscar” created by cartoonist, Rex A. Jones containing 68 cartoons. Oscar, is a charismatic big green parrot with a larger than life personality, a sharp tongue and a wicked attitude. He is joined by his mate Hortense, and his offspring, Nugget, as they outwit, bemuse, and bewilder their parronts, Rex and his wife Judy.

What the Parrot Saw, is the sixth installment of the Oscar series. Picking up where Oscar V: Taking the Fifth, left off. Kiss Me I’m Kosher, is the much requested sixth Oscar book of select Oscar cartoons around a Jewish theme. With celebrations of High holy days to just plain Oscar kvetching and noshing. I’ve had people write me and say that they hear Mel Brooks’ voice when they read Oscar’s words. Well, I do too when I write them. LOL. The 67 cartoons herein are the result.
